Lua Hotel

The rooms were really clean, and the pool was nice. In my opinion it's not very kid-friendly, but we'd definitely stay again.

The gardens are lovely, the staff are friendly, and parking is secure. The hotel is a bit far from the town center, though there are lots of places to eat nearby. We didn't try the pool because the water wasn't clear. Also, did I mention the peacock? 🤣 Our room was very clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows, a nice seat, a rain shower, hot water, soft fresh-smelling towels, and complimentary water. It's quiet despite being close to the road, but there was a lot of noise from other rooms. You could hear every step and pretty much everything else. Room 1 had good Wi-Fi, while Room 2 didn't; the internet was still usable and fast. Room 1 only had bathroom-to-bathroom noise, while Room 2 also had room-to-room noise. The rooms are good, though the more expensive ones could use more attention to detail. There was a tear in a curtain, and the remodeled bathroom still showed old remnants. There was no coffeemaker or hair dryer. Still, I liked the room.

It's a nice location with security and a restaurant attached nearby. But the rooms have very poor sound insulation. At 11 PM I could hear everything the person next door was doing to himself. The pool is in rough shape, and construction started at 9 AM. Hope you don't like sleeping in.

We've stayed at Lua Hotel lots of times, and the rooms vary, so ask to see yours first. The water is hot, but the shower heads need replacing. We've also had torn or stained sheets, though they were always clean. There's off-street parking, a lovely pool, and lots of ground-floor rooms if you'd rather avoid stairs. A little attention could make this a great place to stay.
