The location was a highlight, with most attractions and restaurants within walking distance, and the airport nearby too. Staff were attentive, and our room was clean and spacious. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but enjoyed drinks by the rooftop pool and bar.

The rooms are large, the pool is a decent size, and it’s a nice place to relax. I’d still recommend it because they’re trying, but the front desk and housekeeping need to improve. They don’t answer their phones, my credit cards went missing, and the room wasn’t cleaned properly, especially the floor, which hadn’t been swept.

The rooftop pool is spacious and especially nice in the hot season. The hotel is centrally located in Chetumal, near the Belize border, and the rooms were fine and clean every time we stayed. The underground parking fills up on weekends, but then you can park in front of the main gate. Cafe del Puerto, which serves an excellent breakfast, is nearby.

Being close to downtown shops and restaurants was handy, and the seafront is only a couple of blocks away and worth seeing. I felt very safe, and the secure underground parking was a big plus with all my belongings in the truck. My full-size truck with 33” tires and a 3” lift fit, though it was a tight squeeze. The restaurant was good. The main problems were awful smells in the stairwells and halls, dirty pool water, and barely any hot water. The shower was lukewarm at best. Fiesta inn Chetumal was much better and less run down than their hotel in Villahermosa.
