Best Western Lorencillo Miramar

Outside noise carries right into the room because the insulation is bad, so it's not great when you need to get up early. Only a few of the crew speak English.

I had a peaceful escape at Lorencillo Miramar, with breathtaking ocean views and a staff that made me feel welcome and looked after. The on-site restaurant was a treat too, with delicious seafood and refreshing cocktails. A memorable visit.

We hadn't booked a room, just wanted to try somewhere different for dinner, and found this hidden gem. The food was awesome, with a homemade taste you can't beat, and the service was outstanding. Prices are VERY reasonable. We went back the next day for breakfast, and I'll definitely return!

The beach club was the highlight for me. For $350, I got a wristband for the beach-side pool, restaurant, and private palapas, plus a $250 food and drink credit. You pay for anything above that. I went alone, so check how it works for a larger group. Outside food and drinks aren't allowed, and the drink menu oddly has no prices. My huge margarita, michelada, and freshly made guacamole came to a little over $250, with a 15% tip included. That seemed pretty reasonable, and the quality was excellent. I spent the whole afternoon there after day passes started at 12pm, enjoying a palapa, friendly and attentive service, a towel, comfortable chairs, and a nice beach and ocean view. I loved it. This stretch of Playa Miramar was gorgeous, spotlessly clean, with powder-soft sand and clear, torquoise water. I had a thoroughly enjoyable time and am already planning to come back next week. I highly recommend the beach club at Hotel Lorencillo. I didn't stay at the hotel, though, just visited the restaurant and day-pass beach club. Earlier that day, I'd gone to Hotel Lorencillo's restaurant for breakfast because I'd read it was pretty good. The service and atmosphere were very nice, but I was disappointed with the price and quality. Four Enchiladas Yucatecas, a glass of orange juice, and two coffees cost $280 plus tip, or almost $20usd. Apparently coffee refills aren't free, not even one. The portion and taste weren't quite what I expected. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. That happens sometimes.
