Hotel Galeana

We only ended up here because the hotel next door was full. I stayed a year ago, and the rooms left a lot to be desired. One first-floor room smelled like sewage; they gave us an air freshener but refused to move us. The pool was dirty enough that you had to clean it before using it. The beds felt like they were stuffed with cardboard. I agree with Diego Sebastian's comment and wouldn’t recommend it.

We asked for a refund after less than 10 minutes because the room was in such bad shape: it smelled, the bathroom was dirty, and there were flies. They offered no real solution, only told us to wait two days and come back. They said accounting issues meant they couldn’t make a transfer. I suggested the owner could handle it personally and withdraw the money from accounting after those two days, but he said that wasn’t possible. Still, nothing else was offered. Even getting the refund took about 30 minutes of excuses and being told it couldn’t be done before they finally processed it. The amount was less than the full payment because they charged commissions on card payments. So what’s the deal?

I’ll come back to relax for sure, but the air conditioners could use a cleaning.
