Our tour guide stopped and helped us with the process. This is a great little spot for Mexican sweets and fruit, and there’s a small but usable bathroom.

There’s beach access for walking or taking out the kayaks and paddle boards, plus lots of swimming pools. The grounds are gorgeous and laid out really well, and the units have nice floor plans. Bucerias seems to get better weather than Puerto Vallarta, and the entrance is guarded. The complex itself is nice, but it needs some attention: the funiculars don’t work, and some elevators are out of order. The restaurant serves good food, though it’s a bit pricey.
