If you arrive without a reservation and they have rooms open, this is a great hotel. In that situation, I'd put it among the area's two best, along with Hacienda Cocoyoc. The restaurant and buffet are OK, but most of the service staff aren't very gentle. The problems start with reservations: they won't promise to hold a room until two hours after your estimated arrival, even if you call ahead to ask for more time. Instead, they tell you to keep checking your inbox to find out whether you still have a reservation, which makes the whole process stressful. At check-in, Gabriela, the manager, is the exception; the front desk staff are much less polite than the concierge, doorman, and bellman. First-time guests might get a nice room, but on a return visit you could be given one with broken AC and a TV remote that doesn't work. After two days, the gym still didn't have enough towels to wipe off your sweat. The jacuzzi water is cold in the morning, with no bubbles or jets. By noon the jets work, but the water is so filthy you don't want to get in. Those issues bring the service down to 3*, on par with or even below Club Dorado's. I'd look at other options.

The rooms are roomy, clean, comfortable, and have what you need to rest and relax. Internet works everywhere, and there are an office room, a gym, a pool, a jacuzzi, and a restaurant. The most equipped rooms have a coffee brewer and a small refrigerator, yes, I've stayed in them all. The hosts are the best in town! Staff are friendly, helpful, and very polite, and they'll smile back.

There aren't many hotel choices in Cuautla, and this is still our first pick for short family visits. It's a nice budget option, clean and comfortable, with staff who are always friendly and professional. The food is usually quite good, though on this visit it was a bit disappointing.
