The people at the bakery who handed over the keys couldn't have been nicer. The rest was a problem. For the 450 Pesos I paid each night on my own, there wasn't any soap in the shared bathrooms or toilet paper in the bathrooms. My room and the common areas had no waste basket, aside from one in the shared bathroom. Nothing seemed maintained: the cold water knob on the lavabo didn't work, and the shower's hot water knob came off with the slightest touch. I had to ask specifically for a bath towel, and the wifi didn't work. I also asked for the quietest room, but the street traffic was so loud all night that I couldn't sleep, and it was extremely hot. The owner seemed stingy and uninterested in even basic customer service. Lesson learned.

The noise from the street made it hard to rest, and the next morning I couldn’t shower because there was no hot water. I texted about it and got no reply. The Wi-Fi didn’t work in my room either. I told Adair, who said they’d look into it, but I never heard back. Getting the keys was a hassle from the start. I was told they’d be in a safe, but nobody sent me the code, so I had to message them and wait nearly 20 minutes for a woman to bring them. She handed over the room key but not the key for the front entrance, so I had to ask for that at the shop next door. Check-in at 4 pm is also much later than at most hotels or hostels. I had a terrible stay. Pay a little more for somewhere more professional and considerate.
