We really enjoyed our stay at the Ilebal. The cafe food was good, and the staff were great. With the architecture, plants, and sunshine, it was a pleasant place to be, and cleanliness clearly matters here. We want to come back. The only downside was the steep uphill walk to the cathedral. Taxis are affordable and easy to get, though, and the ride is quick.

The staff were attentive, the pool was nice, and breakfast was good. Everything was very clean and quiet. It's an easy walk to el centro, and I slept well even though the bed was firm. There were some nice little touches too.

We stayed for 7 nights, and I liked all the staff. The pool stayed clean and quiet, and there were lovely plants everywhere. The place itself was so clean and lovely, and the center of the city was a short taxi ride away.

The plumbing made scary noises whenever someone in another room flushed or showered, and the woman at the front desk was rude. A week later, management contacted me to ask me to delete the review. I took away another star. Never stay here.

The hotel itself is okay, which is why I'm giving it a 2, but my whole family of 7 ended up covered in chigger bites. The itching and bites were horrible, the worst experience ever, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. It makes me think the hotel isn't doing the cleaning it needs to. They should close until they get exterminators.
