We came for a three-day weekend in March, and the hotel was very quiet even though it's near a busy intersection. The room was clean and in very good shape. I especially liked the bathroom, with its great water pressure and hot water. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choices ranging from Western-style food to authentic Mexican dishes. Rachel on the overnight team deserves a big shout-out for her superb, attentive, customer-focused service. This is probably the best choice for staying in the heart of Durango.

The hotel was extremely clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a great stay at the Hampton Inn during my trip to Durango, and I'll stay there again next time I'm in town.

We chose this newer Hampton because it allows pets, and everyone was happy with that policy. The place was new and nicely appointed, and the room was comfortable, with the usual amazing Hampton Inn mattress. There's a lobby bar for evening cocktails. The buffet breakfast was the best tasting one I've ever had, and this hotel far exceeded my previous Hampton Inn experience.

It's a very nice hotel. I'd suggest adding a bit more security on the way up to the rooms, like requiring a key scan in the elevator.

2/10
The service was terrible and very poor. No one introduced themselves or welcomed me, and calls went unanswered. When someone did pick up, I was left on hold for about seven minutes on average. When you're in town on business, front desk and concierge problems are the last thing you need. A small issue became a big one because time mattered, and the front desk staff showed no respect for customers' time. I won't be returning.
