Hotel Cuatro Cuatros

It was our first time glamping, and we had a pretty good stay. The accommodations were comfortable and nicely set up. Breakfast was very good, and the ocean and sunset views from Bar Bura at Cuatro Cuatros were fantastic.

Come without a packed itinerary, bring warm clothes, and give yourself time to walk around and slow down. Nights get chilly. We were about 15-25 minutes from Valle De Guadalupe, and Cuatro Cuatros has activities for an extra cost. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The radio was hit or miss, but they responded quickly on WhatsApp. There’s tasty food by reception in good-sized portions, and staff turn on the room heater before sunset. I HIGHLY recommend Bar Bura. We forgot sweaters, so learn from us and pack one. The aguachiles, quesadilla de lengua, and fresh oysters were great. There’s also a bar open until 11 pm with a speakeasy and great mixes.

There wasn’t much to see or do, and the tacos were overpriced, though tasty. The grounds were clean, and the tour guide knew the history of tequila, but the tour wasn’t worth the price. It included only 4 shots, a small amount of chips and guacamole, and a small glass of your choice of margarita. The speakeasy was tiny, and its music made me sleepy after a few shots.

They’re only open Thursday through Sunday. If you go on Wednesday, there’s no restaurant or bar service, not even during the busy summer season or summer vacations.
