The hotel had bedbugs, the room didn’t lock from the inside, and we had to leave the key at the front desk whenever we went out. We later found out it’s in a red zone of Guadalajara. The one good thing was that the receptionist understood when we wanted to leave and charged us for just one night instead of the full original reservation.

The location worked perfectly, the rooms were clean, and the price was fair for what we got. The staff were the real bright spot, though. We had booked five nights online, but they couldn't find our reservation and didn't even have a computer on site. The desk clerk offered to show us a room before taking payment, which was considerate since we clearly weren't their usual guests. We ended up changing rooms a few times. The first had no windows, the next smelled like a bathroom, and the third had a leaking toilet and sink. In the fourth, the door lock broke, but they fixed it right away. Each time, staff handled the move with a smile. For the price, it was what we expected.

They collect your room key whenever you go out, so I didn't feel comfortable leaving my things there.
