The rooms were in such bad shape that our group decided to leave for another hotel down the street. In one room there were boogers on the wall, bathroom trash, shoe prints on the bed, and a cigarette smell. The other had water all over the bathroom floor and a wet toilet seat. We were given a different downstairs room, even though the woman had said there were no more downstairs rooms. It reeked of perfume covering a sweaty-man smell, and the sheets smelled used and sweaty. We'd asked for two downstairs rooms because of our large, heavy luggage. After we left to get food, we decided we couldn't stay. The woman said a refund was possible only for the room with shoe marks. She wanted me to write our credit card details on paper so she could refund it the next morning, which we weren't comfortable doing. When she asked what I wanted her to do, I said nothing, thanked her, and left. It was a cheap hotel, and I wasn't paying myself, so I hadn't complained at first.

Being right by Expo Guadalajara is a big plus, and the price was good. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Spanish is useful, though English plus Google Translate worked too. My room was near reception, so the internet was pretty reliable, but it was noisy enough that I needed earplugs to sleep. Breakfast was quite basic: coffee, juice, and sweet pastries.

The rooms were clean and small but cozy, with a hacienda-like feel, cable TV, minisplit, and a bathroom. The parking lot is small, and they give the room just one key for all its guests. The front desk staff came across as rather stern and not very friendly. Still, it's a nice little hotel in Guadalajara's Expo district.

It's a good place for the price, which is among the lowest in the area. The rooms aren't very big, but they're clean and comfortable. The downside is that they sell you the water bottle kept in the room.
