Will Capsule Hotel Expo Guadalajara

The hotel was no longer operating when I booked a night in December 2024 to be near the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL). There was no sign at the address, and neighbors said it had been closed for many weeks. The door was broken and the property looked unmaintained. I rang and knocked without getting an answer, despite the advertised 24-hour reception. Calls, texts, and emails went unanswered too, and the online help site they provided wouldn't open.

Gloria, who was in charge, gave excellent service. I really liked the concept, and the capsules were spacious and comfortable, arranged across several rooms. The hotel is enclosed, the neighborhood feels safe, and the place is well located and technological. For the price compared with what you get, I thought it was very good.

I arrived with an advance reservation, but the receptionist said the place was full because their booking platforms weren't coordinated. The only option they offered was a damaged, rundown capsule, dirty, with broken doors and only a fan. I asked for my money back and still haven't received it; they keep stalling and making excuses. A really bad experience.

We arrived at the hotel early in the morning, in the rain, and spent about ten minutes ringing the bell and knocking. Nobody answered, so we had to leave in the same taxi. A week earlier I'd called to check they could receive us at 4:30 a.m. because I was arriving in Zapopan then. The young woman said she'd make the reservation and be waiting for us. Horrible experience, one I wouldn't wish on anyone.
