I was traveling alone and spent four nights here. It felt more like staying at a friend's home than at a hotel, and I’d happily come back. Rene, Flo, and their daughter Tillie were welcoming and friendly from the start. Each morning they made me a different, delicious homemade Mexican breakfast, and patiently shared useful travel tips. The neighborhood felt so safe that I was comfortable walking around at midnight. Such a warm, cozy place to stay.

Leti made us a delicious, comforting breakfast every morning, and the pool was amazing. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. Rene and Flo were always there if we needed anything. The location gave us a great view of the city without the noise. René, Flo, and Tillie are fantastic hosts, and we also got to meet Flo's lovely parents. They made us feel like part of the family. We had a wonderful time, especially the girls, and would definitely go back. This is hands down the best B&B we've stayed at, though I can hardly put the experience into words.

Flo and Rene were the kindest hosts I've stayed with, always helping us with whatever we wanted to do. Getting to know Tillie was a joy too. The view of Guanajuato from Casa de Tillie is wonderful at any hour. Our rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, and the breakfasts kept us well fed for outings. Cooking mole sauce with Leti was the best. It tasted so good I don't have enough superlatives for it. I strongly recommend staying here.

The view is beautiful, as other guests have mentioned, but it was the hospitality that made Casa stand out for us. Flo, Rene, and Tillie made us feel welcome, and there was thoughtful care in the details around the place. We had great conversations and an interesting exchange of ideas. They were helpful before, during, and after our stay. We couldn't imagine a better place to stay in Guanajuato.

We loved Guanajuato so much that we're already planning to come back. The people seemed peaceful, thoughtful, and just plain cool, maybe with the university in town as part of that. I even went shopping in nearby León and found great deals on leather shoes that would cost at least twice as much in the States. Casa de Tillie made the trip feel magical. We were heading to Guanajuato before a wedding in San Miguel de Allende the following weekend, and decided to add one more special town to the trip. The family hosting there has a worldly background and most recently moved from New York, looking for a chiller vibe. They went out of their way to help us learn the town and how things work. We ate incredibly well during our stay. Doña Leticia, the now-famous breakfast chef, makes home-cooked Mexican classics that set you up for a day out. Thanks, Casa de Tillie, for winning our hearts.
