Casa Nubia Hotel Boutique & Rooftop

The rooftop lounge is worth checking out, and the street-facing rooms have great views. It's right in the heart of Guanajuato, with a lively atmosphere just outside. The staff were attentive, the service was very good, and the rooms were clean and beautiful.

Just a heads-up to read the policies carefully. We had to cancel and thought we'd get a full refund, but learned that the 100% refund only applies when you book directly with them. The policy on the website differs from what they told us when booking by phone or WhatsApp, and I don't know why. We were pretty disappointed by the surprise. They also have a separate policy for busy periods like Cervantino, though we couldn't find it mentioned anywhere. Just FYI.

For what I paid, I expected more, and I was pretty disappointed. The room had no windows, just a skylight above the staircase. It was in the middle of the stairs, and you could hear everything from nearby rooms and the staircase because it was so acoustically exposed. There was no hot water, either. Plus, people were constantly walking past the room to get to the public rooftop terrace.

Such a lovely place for brunch.
