Breakfast came with the room and was excellent: fresh juice or a fruit plate, coffee, and chilaquiles. Staff were pleasant throughout, and we appreciated being able to check in late and check out as late as noon. They spoke English, which impressed us, since that can often be a challenge in Mexico. Although the accommodation is rated three stars, the staff, appearance, and facilities were better than those at the four star hotel we stayed in Mexico City. There's complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby. The only snag was that there wasn't any hot water when we wanted to make tea after arriving.

Rooms were very clean and the staff were helpful. Prices were reasonable. It's a little outside town, but they can give you numbers for safe, reliable taxis. I'd stay again.

The bed was too hard and left my back hurting.

The internet worked perfectly, so I could work on my laptop without any trouble. The rooms have been renovated and were clean. They've also built a ramp, which means my wife can get down to the rooms without difficulty. Very considerate of them. The changes during the renovation surprised us. The pool area and the terrace beside it are wonderful. You can leave your car there while waiting for a taxi to take you down to downtown Guanajuato, where the car would just get in the way. We had an excellent experience at San Cayetano.
