This old hotel is noisy and disrupts the neighborhood. Buses park all over the place, making the area loud and smelly. The property is dirty and poorly maintained: street dogs pull out unsecured garbage, and the front gardens are neglected, full of weeds and dead plants. They let buses park on the empty dirt lot next door despite government rules, as if regulations don’t apply to them. The hotel shows no respect for guests or neighbors. Read the reviews: management attacks bad reviews and blames guests instead of acknowledging the lack of upkeep. They don't spend money on maintenance. Beware, avoid this hotel.

The AC never worked. Staff first said they’d fix it, then, when we checked again, claimed it was working as intended, so they had lied to us. The front desk woman had a terrible attitude the whole time, and when we arrived, they didn’t even know about our reservation. Don’t stay here. There are plenty of Huatulco hotels with working AC and nicer staff.

I traveled with my two children and chose another hotel in the area rather than give these abusive people another peso. I absolutely don’t recommend this place. It isn’t about the amount they wanted us to pay, it’s that this practice is illegal in Mexico and should be investigated by PROFECO (the Mexican consumer protection agency). Our group of eight had paid for and occupied rooms 1 and 4, with checkout supposed to be Sunday because we were leaving for another place at 11 pm. But at 10 am Sunday, staff told us to vacate because other guests were arriving at noon, or pay the difference to keep the rooms. Save yourself the trouble.

It was a 5/10 stay for me. The road there was a little hard to find, and the owner, a woman with glasses, greeted us rudely, assuming we wouldn’t pay even though we wanted the room. The AC barely worked, so the ceiling fan was the only help. The shower pressure was very strong, but one tap didn’t work. There were three of us and they gave us just two towels, with no shampoo or soap for sale.

There were ants in the beds, and the girls serving us were unfriendly. The rooms had just one outlet, and the towels they provided were about the size of hand towels. There’s no AC, only a fan that barely moves the air.
