Holbox Dream Beach Front Hotel

We really enjoyed the beach club's food and cocktails, and the management were pleasant and helpful. There's a decent breakfast selection, though it could be a little more interesting. The rooms are clean, but the hotel itself is clearly showing its age. The beach club is a great place to spend time. One thing bothered me: the bartender added a 20% tip without asking. That didn't happen anywhere else during our trip, despite staying at many hotels and eating at many restaurants. I found it quite rude.

We had an amazing stay. The hotel was spotless and beautifully looked after, the front desk was great, and breakfast was delicious. All the staff were wonderful, especially Aurelio and Javi. Thank you for making the experience so special. We hope to come back and stay here again soon.

The beach area has a lovely place to watch the sunset, though there are only a few sunbeds. There are also two smaller pools that are nice during the day, and the room was cleaned every day. Great atmosphere, with wonderful, helpful staff.

A safe ATM is across the street, there's a good restaurant beside it, and a great coffee shop half a block away. We also loved the three-island boat tour and the wildlife refuge recommendation. Spend time at the animal refuge and walk the rescue dogs at sunset! We went for a weekend getaway, and the place felt like a little piece of paradise. It was worth the 2.5-hour shuttle ride and ferry. The property is well managed, and I felt very welcome. I preferred the low-key, clean feel here, with everything accessible on foot, to the fancier places farther north at the end of the island. The beach views are gorgeous, with lots of loungers and a sunset view, and there are great pools on the property. Breakfast was great, and I appreciated the oat milk. The staff were phenomenal, and the bartender made fantastic margaritas and mojitos. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows weren't, my only complaint. I'd pay more for an interior room rather than one beside the hotel entrance. This was a test run for Holbox, and we'll be back and stay here again. Still dreaming about that little piece of paradise.
