Hotel Isleño

Even with everything going on around it, the place stayed quiet, clean, and comfortable. Our room had plenty of space, a balcony, air conditioning and a fan, a mini fridge, and strong water pressure. It’s basic, but covered what we needed. The people there were lovely, always greeting us with a real smile, and they did me a big favor on my last day. That was a really nice touch.

Room #105 had two balconies and two more windows, so we found it heavenly without needing the air conditioning. It’s a charming, affordable place in a really good spot in town, though street noise could be a problem if you dislike it. The customer service was very good, especially when something needed fixing. We reported the missing hot water in an online post, and they kept working on it until it was fixed, which was all we wanted.

The owners were friendly and answered my questions several times. For the price, the location is great, and the rooms have air conditioning and a mini fridge, though the place isn’t fancy. There’s also a microwave and water dispenser in the small lobby. There’s no elevator, so anyone who has trouble with stairs would need a first-floor room. A small ramp beside the two steps at the entrance was helpful.

It was cheap and fine for a couple of nights, but I wouldn’t have picked it first. The room was fairly clean and had a refrigerator; there’s also a water dispenser downstairs. Still, this is really just somewhere to sleep, not a place to hang out. There’s no WiFi in the room, you can’t leave the AC on when you go out, and the only outdoor space is a tiny balcony.
