The pool is excellent, and the beach and ocean are just four steps away. Service is excellent too. This is a blue-collar hotel, so don’t expect nighttime turndown service or fresh candies on your pillow. The all-inclusive option is available, and Restaurant Row, with lots of food choices, is two blocks away.

We stayed in one of the condominiums, so I can’t comment on the rooms. The pools were crowded on the days we visited, and chairs filled up quickly. The beach is nice if you’re happy sitting in a chair or lounger, but depending on the waves, getting down to the water can be a long, hot walk. The ocean itself is rough, with big waves. Water was shut off for a few hours around lunchtime, and we also went without it for several hours one night. They said they were fixing problems, but it seemed to happen often. We tried the buffet twice and struggled with the food as Americans. Once we figured out the area, we walked into town for meals and visited other beaches nearby. It’s close by and very safe, so it works if you mainly need somewhere to sleep while exploring other places.

Every night of the week has a different performance, and they were all amazing. The show was the best I’ve seen in Mexico, really fun and entertaining, with lots of interaction with the crowd. Aldair, one of the dancers, did an amazing job. Highly recommend!

Fernando was especially sweet and courteous, and the staff were great. The rooms were kept clean, though nothing fancy. We had an ongoing odor in the bathroom, which was a problem. It’d be nice to have pool activities like water aerobics. Local shops and attractions are close, just a few minutes’ walk to most of them.
