I really liked having a small kitchen, especially since food in La Paz can be pricey and vegan choices are limited. The bed was soooo comfortable, and the housekeeping ladies were so sweet. It’s in a great location, too. My one wish was for more natural light in the room.

We enjoyed our stay at this sweet little hotel. It’s clean, has the cutest courtyard, and is easy to walk from to lots of restaurants and bars. The location in La Paz is great. Our only gripe was the thin walls, since barking neighborhood dogs woke us early. Otherwise, we had a lovely time.

A cute boutique hotel with a great team, just one block from the Malecón. The location is hard to beat.

Casa Maduro made a great base for exploring La Paz. The Malecón is close by, and many of the city’s well-known restaurants are an easy walk away. My room was roomy and well kept, with a thoughtful layout, a heavenly bed, and very fast WiFi for streaming and keeping in touch. The security measures gave me peace of mind without feeling intrusive, and the staff were warm and attentive from check-in through departure. I felt welcomed like a friend, and I’d stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. La Paz itself was a pleasant surprise. The streets were spotlessly clean, the beaches pristine, and the food scene ranged from fresh seafood by the water to local taquerias. The city also seemed remarkably accessible to visitors with disabilities, with ramps, accessible paths, and accommodating facilities. Along the four-mile Malecón, you can walk, bike, or watch sunsets over the Sea of Cortez. It gets lively, but still feels peaceful, and the vendors were helpful without being pushy. The weather was warm, dry, and comfortable during my description of it as perfect year-round, without the heavy humidity of other Mexican coastal places. Affordable rideshare options made it easy to get around the city and nearby areas.

The location was great, but for 2000 pesos+ a night I expected much better cleanliness. There was hair, debris, and little bugs in both the room and bathroom. The shower could use a window screen, and I had to tighten the toilet seat. Gross.
