Hotel Plaza Loreto Centro Historico

For downtown Loreto, the location is hard to beat: everything is walkable, with several breakfast places within two blocks. I've stayed here a few times, and this visit we paid $65 a night for a double queen room. The room was clean and comfortable, Wi-Fi was included and worked very well, and they accept credit cards. There's a coffee shop attached, plus complimentary coffee in the lobby.

It's pet friendly, which was a nice bonus. From the hotel, it's one block to Loreto's historic downtown and four to the marina, about a ten-minute walk on these small streets. The staff were very friendly, and our room was clean and comfortable.

We couldn't get Wi-Fi in the rooms; it only worked out in the courtyard. Music from the loud bar beside the “interior” patio shook the walls until 2 a.m. It's not the hotel's fault, but for a quiet night's sleep, I'd stay somewhere else.

Our King Suite worked really well for a three-month visit. It had a king bed and a double, plus a kitchenette stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, shot glasses, and coffee cups. There was also a flat-screen TV, loveseat, and a couple of chairs. Children are welcome, too. Breakfast was included, and I understand ocean diving tours can now be booked at the front desk. The place is right in the middle of everything, with a lovely courtyard, well-kept, clean rooms at reasonable prices, and off-street parking if you ask. The staff were exceptionally friendly and knew a lot about what's happening around Loreto town. We were so glad we booked here.
