The staff work hard to keep the beach clean and were friendly and attentive. I even noticed how kind they were to one another, which felt like a good sign. You can get freshly made food, drinks, swim, use the sundecks or take a canoe, and no reservation is needed. Prices are before tax, but you'd have to spend a lot to reach 89 US$ ;D It's a quiet, modest, unusual spot if you want to get away from the town's mayhem or a Mexican inszenation. No luxury and no parties. The music has a wide variety, and sometimes it's even quiet. No hawkers! If you're after a perfect day in real Mexico, or just a few hours, this could be the place.

For the price, Lunas is excellent. The staff are friendly, it's easy to reach, and there's good food at decent prices, cold beer, and a beach. The tents are basic, but mine held up through some rain and worked fine for me on my own. I think they had larger ones for couples. Bring your own sheet and pillow or pillows. The back-mat was comfortable enough. The bathrooms are basic, with two standalone toilets and a cold-water shower. If you're fine with that for this price, go for it. I'll be back :-)

A simple but beautiful beach spot, with great food and awesome drinks right by the water. We got there from the cruise port by golf cart. The beach gets lots of seaweed washing ashore, but they rake it regularly and keep the place clean.

We were unsure at first about booking by email and paying a deposit through Paypal, but took a $5-per-person taxi to Lunas beach club while in port on a Princess Cruise. It's a secluded, secure stretch of private beach, and the beach itself is comfortable. The servers are personable, and the pina colada was made with fresh coconuts picked from the beach trees. Keep an eye on the hammocks, they're tied to those trees. A coconut fell and nearly hit our daughter. There's beach access, kayaks, fresh delicious food, and clean restrooms. When you're ready to return to the ship, the server can call a taxi for you. They do prefer cash.

The food was the best meal I've had in years, and the service went above and beyond. They made me feel like I was visiting old friends. This is the best place to go, and I can't wait to come back. Highly recommend!
