Gran Festivall Resort

The food and evening shows were good, but the resort overall is in poor condition and service was really bad. There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms or drinking water, and broken pool tiles caused injuries. I asked four times for water so I could take medicine. They kept saying they'd bring it, but never did, so I gave up and asked a bar worker to fill an empty soda bottle. On checkout day, I couldn't find anyone at the front desk. The bellhop said they'd be back soon, but after 30 minutes I pressed him to find someone. He located a young woman hiding behind the members' reception door and playing on her phone. She walked to the main desk still looking at her phone and seemed annoyed that we wanted to check out. The employees generally didn't seem to care about service.

The location was great and easy to get around on foot, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. Room 261 was much different from what I expected, and it was dirty. The towels were stained, as if they hadn't been washed in ages. The shower and toilet had no water, and the AC was out too, so the heat was unbearable. We complained at the front desk, but nothing was done.

The place was in awful shape. There was no water, the bathrooms smelled terrible, and the toilets and shower area looked extremely dirty. The rooms were unbearably hot, bedroom doors wouldn't shut, and several villas and windows were cracked. The kids' pool was green and covered in mold, and the grass was overgrown. On our way out we saw two RABID RACCOONS. Staff said raccoons come around during the day. Please listen to people like me who had a terrible stay, and don't come here.

The unit I stayed in was among the worst I've experienced, even though it was clean. There was no hot water in either the shower or sink, the rooms were bare, and some lights and outlets didn't work. I included a photo of the bathroom sink and its rusty mirror frame to show what I mean. The rest of the property was decent, with maintained grounds and pools, and the employees were courteous and helpful, especially with my limited Spanish. It's a large resort with courtesy vehicles if you want a ride around. The beach was nice and about a quarter mile away. I stayed a couple of days, and the all-inclusive food was average. I'd probably choose somewhere else next time.
