Hotel Ave Inn Mazatlán

The woman cleaning our floor worked hard and kept our room spotless, even though the towels were old and worn. The rest of the hotel felt grimy. It looks okay at first, but then you notice the sticky surfaces and poor hygiene, and all the public areas seemed dirty. The breakfast was very poor quality, served on stained melamine and styrofoam. There was still red lipstick on the coffee cups. You enter through the parking garage, which is actually a construction zone, and the AC was very noisy, though it did work. I wouldn’t recommend staying here for a relaxing vacation.

The location is the big draw, whether you’re here for work or a getaway. You can walk to the beach and the nightlife, which is about five minutes away. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are nice, and breakfast gives you a little boost to start the day. The terrace is a lovely spot to read in the afternoon. The pool is small to medium sized, but there’s a perfect area for sunbathing. Great option!

You can get around without renting a car. Taxis stop for you right outside, and the location felt very safe. The workers were friendly and helpful, and it has a family atmosphere. The internet signal was strong, the shower had plenty of hot water, and the breakfast was good. The AC worked perfectly, lol. The beds were too small for us, but we still enjoyed our time there.

We were extorted during the night, and the receptionist gave our personal information to the extortionist because she felt pressured. We were scared all night and couldn’t enjoy ourselves or get a good night’s sleep. The breakfast was tasteless, the AC was noisy, and the water ran cold. Horrible, in short. I’m never going back.
