Hotel Raíces de Mar

We came for brunch, not a hotel stay, and the food was excellent. My birria bowl with tortillas was especially good, and my wife loved her corn pancakes with mixed fruit. We also enjoyed the cappuccino and fresh-squeezed orange juice. The breakfast menu is limited but still has plenty of tasty choices, the staff were professional and attentive, and the prices felt like very good value. The enclosed terrace is relaxing, with those wood-slab tabletops. We’ll definitely be back soon! 😋💓

We only had breakfast at the restaurant, not a stay at the hotel. The food was good, and the hotel’s boutique feel was intriguing. We loved its spot on the public courtyard. Service was really slow, though, and our waiter disappeared. At one point I asked the hostess for an update on our food and for coffee refills. Maybe it was just an off day.

The desserts were delicious and right on point. The rest of the meal was good, though there’s plenty of room for improvement. My steak came medium even though we’d asked for 3/4, the corn tortillas tasted old, and they didn’t have flour tortillas. I’d suggest giving the restaurant a try to see if it’s your kind of place. I’d go back once more to try something different.

Our first restaurant visit was lovely. The next time, the staff were rude and disrespectful to my partner when he needed to use the bathrooms. They told him not to run into tables or touch anything because we weren’t hotel guests.
