Hotel La Siesta Malecón

Didn't stay at the hotel, but the bar was great and the service was top notch.

We were there five days with my husband and four kids. Martin was a great help, and the staff were friendly. The room was clean when we arrived and got cleaned every day, which we really needed with the kids. They also brought us towels when we asked, at no extra charge, handy after the beach and pool. The downside is parking. There's no lot at the hotel, and the paid parking is a block away and uphill. Someone is there all day and there are cameras, though, and the parking staff were very nice and helpful. We'd stay again for the rates and service. Thanks so much!

The staff could hardly be friendlier, and the boat trip package was reasonably priced. It offered an open bar, which was hard to beat, but the boat was packed full. They offer tours to the different “islands,” though you might do better asking around and going with someone else, depending on the price. It would be nice if they added an elevator and an ice machine. Otherwise, a great place to stay.

The ocean view was amazing for sunsets, and the location made it easy to walk to great restaurants, a coffee shop, and a convenience store. Rates were reasonable, the WiFi was fast, and the AC worked well. There were some real downsides during our mid-November stay: no elevator, traffic noise, and loud courtyard renovations that continued well past 9 pm. I'd come back once the renovation work is finished.
