Getting around is easy here, with lots going on and plenty of options, from pulmonía (open-air taxis) and regular taxis to all kinds of other vehicles.

The Golden Zone is a peaceful, beautiful part of the city, and you can reach it by taking the Mazatlán exit on the highway from Culiacán before entering the city. There’s a strong police presence, and you can walk around comfortably at any time of day. The people are cheerful and helpful, and there are places to stay for different tastes and budgets, from houses and bungalows to apartments and hotels. Businesses include taco stands, seafood and birria restaurants, sporting goods stores, travel shops, and souvenir shops. The area is busy, with buses, horse-drawn carriages, open-air taxis, and regular taxis, and new homes, hotels, and vacation rentals are going up as it continues to grow. It’s a wonderful city for a vacation. My recommendation is to visit this beautiful city.
