This used to be a luxurious timeshare, maybe 20 or 25 years ago, but now it’s clearly near the end of its life. There’s no internet, hot water isn’t reliable, and the hot tubs and pools are very dirty and need immediate maintenance. The photos on the websites show how it looked in its glory days, not how it is now.

The hotel was closed when we arrived, and nobody answered our calls or texts. They’d sent a WhatsApp message just a few hours earlier with a link to a different hotel several kilometres outside Mazatlán. We arrived late, the restaurants were closed, and there wasn’t a store nearby. What a disaster. We later heard there’d been an electricity problem since December. This feels like customers are being cheated. I absolutely don’t recommend visiting this hotel.

There’s no beach access, and the room TV didn’t work. The place is okay for a couple and could do for one night. I was offered the master suite, which had a kitchen with everything needed to make breakfast. People drank beer by the pool and played ranchera music all day and night. It could use some maintenance.

The location is the one good thing about this place. The rooms are dated and smell musty and moldy, and the old pool and hot tub were cracked and dirty. They pushed a travel club timeshare and were mean when we declined, even swearing at us. The place is misrepresented. I’d never stay here again. They should tear it down and build a new hotel.

We went there after being invited to buy a 20-year membership. They took our trip money for the museum, didn’t give us our T-shirt, and the breakfast was horrible. It was garbage.
