The front desk clerk was nasty and provided the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The A.C. wasn’t available, and he ignored my requests for the A.C. control several times. He also kept our deposit because we left a towel on the floor. While we were sitting in the lobby, he turned off the A.C. I can’t say how dissatisfied I am. Very bad experience!

The staff were very nice, the beds were comfortable, and it’s a good location. But Room 308 has no internet connection. Music blares, and a really bright light shines through the curtains. If you stay here, ask for the west side of the building, away from the street.

After driving for 9 hours, we had nowhere to sleep. The reception worker turned us away despite our hotels.com reservation, blaming the platform for the hotel’s mistake. He said this happened all the time and that the owners didn’t care, since he only worked reception. The service was impressively terrible. This place is a scam.

We liked this decent economy hotel, especially the quiet, helpful staff, plentiful hot water, and decent cable. Internet worked great in the lobby but was variable elsewhere. The building is five floors high, with a very inconspicuous entrance and a tiled corkscrew stairwell. There’s no elevator, so be careful. Make sure you have the local Mazatlan phone number, not the one in Mexico City. Also know where it is in the Zona Dorada, or your Pulmonia driver or taxista may spend 40 minutes looking. Spoken landmarks: opposite Egyptian Massage and down the street from Panama Restaurant. You’ll like it if you’re flexible.
