We never got hot water in our room, even though they kept saying they were working on it. At checkout, they asked for a tip instead of offering any discount for the problem. Service was terrible. One waiter also seemed clearly out of it, speaking extremely slowly, laughing oddly, and behaving strangely.

The room, view, pool, and quiet beach were the best parts, and for the price this was the nicest hotel I found in the area. The sea was usually too rough to swim in during our January visit. Still, a lot of things need fixing. On the first day, the curtains came off the wall when I tried to open them, and they were never repaired. The rubber mattress cover made sleeping sweaty, so I took it off and shoved it under the uncomfortable couch. Breakfast rules kept changing too. Some days we were told only a few menu items were included, other days everything was, then new restrictions came up again. I started dreading those morning conversations. The lunch and dinner menu got repetitive after a few days, and by the pool the servers often ignored us, so we had to get up to order another drink. The constant instrumental music was another problem. It sounded like the same one or two CDs, with lots of slow, sad tracks, playing for 16 hours a day. The place was usually empty. Management told me videographers were filming and copyright rules meant they couldn't play regular music, but in our two weeks there we never saw a videographer. When we asked to extend our stay, only the smallest room was available, even though we'd had the best room before. They quoted us the same price because of the upcoming nudist festival in Zipolita. They lowered it significantly after I said that was too much, but we decided not to stay longer.

The waiter was so unhelpful he wouldn't even answer basic questions about the menu. Restaurant service was lousy.

Room 8 had a lovely view from both the bed and the private balcony, and the pool was nice too. The staff were friendly. The ocean here is too rough for swimming, but it's a great spot to watch the sunrise and sunset.
