Hotel Margarita

The price and location were great, so I was willing to put up with a lot for a good deal. Still, it wouldn't take much to improve this place. The room door has old wooden shutters that someone outside can open to look in. In the bathroom, a person on the stairway can see you from about the chest up through a high window. The lobby smelled strongly of a poisonous cleaner and gave me a headache. Its decorations looked cheesy and decades old, the water pump was noisy, uncovered, and leaking onto the floor, and I spotted two roaches in the lobby. I know those can be hard to control, and I wasn't expecting much.

I stayed there last January and had a great time. It was very central, the staff were cool, and the place was cleaner than most cheap Mexican hotels. I didn't see any bugs.

The workers were friendly, which is why I gave it two stars. The place was dirty and loud, with grimy towels and sheets, broken furniture, and no hot shower. They didn't clean our room, so the bin overflowed. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

The location was excellent, and my room was very clean. I'd recommend the place.
