The service made up for a few problems. The staff were friendly and quick to respond. One room had a small leak, and the water stopped while a family member was showering, taking a while to come back. There were a few other minor issues too, so the place could use some maintenance. The location is good, with an Oxxo convenience store across the street and several places to get food nearby. La Pimienta is there too, and it's quite good. I’d definitely stay again.

The continental breakfast, with coffee, bread and fruit, was a convenient way to start the day. There’s free parking and Wi-Fi, and for the price I thought it was an excellent option. I stayed in the Pink Room 🌹, which was large, pleasant and spotless. The bed was very comfortable, and I loved having a hammock. The AC and fan helped with the intense 40°C heat outside. There’s a good-sized pool with shallow and deep ends, and a small refrigerator in the room. OXXO is right across the street if you want sodas or beers. Some furniture needs attention: a few drawers were hard to open, and the toilet had a slight constant leak. The water never got hot, though in Mérida’s heat you hardly need it. I would’ve liked hot water for shaving.

I knew about the hotel because I ate at the restaurant "A la Pimienta" and heard they also offered rooms. I recommended it to a friend, and I really regret that. They booked and paid for four nights but only stayed one, and weren't refunded. There was no hot water, bath soap or blankets, and the restaurant wasn't open for dinner. They shouldn't advertise as a hotel when they don't have the services for one. When we asked for a refund, Ms. Norma Pimienta treated us very unpleasantly.
