Extended Suites Mexicali Cataviña

The A/C worked well, there was a fridge to keep beer cold in the heat, and the main road nearby made it easy to get away quickly. Beyond that, I had a lot of problems. I’d registered my girlfriend as a guest, but they still wouldn’t give us two keys. We were limited to one set of towels per room, and to exchange them for fresh ones we had to bring the old set to reception. Extra towels weren’t allowed. I paid for extra cleaning through the booking site, yet the room was cleaned only once in seven days. Staff service and manners were poor. Finding parking in the evenings was nearly impossible because bar customers next door were using the hotel lot. When I asked for a refund for the cleaning I paid for but didn’t receive, they insisted on a Mexican bank account and CLABE. As a foreign guest, I can’t provide that, but they refused to refund my credit card. Their response over a small refund was unhelpful and unreasonable. These are basic standards, even for a lower-star hotel, and they can ruin a stay.

The location is handy and the service was fair, but don’t leave anything important behind. Even though I called the same day I checked out, I never got my belongings back. And what room service? They clean only once a week. I won’t stay here again.

My family and I had a really good time here. It was a very good hotel, and we’d definitely recommend it to other people.

We come here often because the rooms are spacious and clean, and the beds are comfortable. The staff are attentive too. The hotel is well placed on a main avenue, close to a major junction.
