I left as soon as I got there. The room door wouldn’t lock, and I didn’t feel safe with a shared bathroom either. On arrival, the host tried to flirt with me, touch me, and kiss me. It was disgusting harassment, and the whole experience felt awful.

Mari Cruz was very nice to me. The place was fine for a stay, and it’s close to Bellas Artes, so you can walk around the whole centro histórico.

It’s an apartment building rather than a hotel, and the rooms are more like small apartments. There’s no elevator, and the rooms are on the upper floors. Still, it’s great value.

I was nervous about the hot water after reading earlier reviews, but it stayed hot the whole time and caused no trouble. The privacy was my favorite part, since other people didn’t bother us. We had everything we needed in the comfortable deluxe room, and hardly heard the bars and music on the same street. It’s a very central base for seeing different parts of Mexico City. Couples should be able to enjoy this room, and I’d definitely stay again.
