The one good thing was the cleaning. The street is closed, and people sleep there. With the bar open, loud music, people talking and peeing outside, and the smell of urine every day, don't expect to sleep well. The restaurant closes at 3 p.m., not 11 p.m. When I asked staff for anything, the answer was no. They couldn't even change a light bulb that had stopped working. I asked for one, and they brought it to the room for my husband to replace. There was no AC or ceiling fan, only one very old, slow elevator was running, and the bathroom smelled moldy. If you love yourself and your money, stay away and go somewhere else. Ambassador isn't a four-star hotel, or even a three-star one.

It's near plenty of scenic spots, and the staff were courteous. The room was only semi-clean, but you get what you pay for. I would've slept better with a deadbolt. The door only had the basic lock on the handle.

The housekeeper did a good job, but the room and bathroom smelled moldy, which would be bad if you have breathing problems. The night staff were rude and unhelpful. Dozens of homeless people sleep on the street where the hotel is, and there was urine everywhere. Someone needs to save this poor place and the Mexican reputation. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The location is right in the city's hot spot, but the rooms leave a lot to be desired and were a little dirty. There's construction nearby, and it makes getting a good night's sleep difficult.

I had a pleasant stay here, and it was easy to spend the rest of the day walking around downtown. There are museums, galleries, beautiful buildings, amazing people, and plenty more to see.
