The room was lovely and had a comfortable bed. The place feels warm and welcoming, with a cozy design, and the staff were kind and attentive. For about $1,200 USD for seven nights, though, I expected more compared with similar places. Wi-Fi was very slow, and there was a distracting sound that kept starting and stopping. Voices from the dining area directly below came through and woke me up easily. Breakfast was just okay, and the shower kept swinging between too hot and too cold because it was broken. At around $170 a night, it was an okay stay, but didn’t feel worth the price.

While I was out from about 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., someone came into the room to clean. The next morning I noticed my gold collar and diamond ring were gone. I’d put them in a particular spot in my luggage and had worn them the day before. When I reported it, Armando, the manager, was rude and xenophobic. He specifically said that because I was a foreigner, I had no rights or power in his country. He accused me of making it up, said it had never happened before, and threatened to call the police to have me removed from the property. He made no effort to help. He also said he wouldn’t provide security camera footage or tell me who had cleaned the room.

The clean, peaceful look of Casa Hannah was lovely, and the service was top notch. Every time we came back, even when we’d gone out several times that day, the room was tidy and there were fresh towels. They also had breakfast and snacks available throughout the day.

The area is really, really nice, and the service was top notch. My bedroom was a little small and could get loud at times since it was next to the street. The bathroom, though, was great. Highly recommend!
