Casa Jacinta Guest House

We chose Coyoacan because we wanted a bustling but more relaxed historic neighborhood, and spent lots of time exploring it on foot. We visited museums, markets, churches, coffee shops, parks, and even the Cineteca Nacional. Getting to Centro or Chapultepec by car took about 45 minutes to an hour in peak traffic. Casa Jacinta is on a quiet street not far from the main square. The hotel itself was charming, relaxing, and beautiful, with friendly staff. I booked room 5 for its green tile bathroom and loved it. I wasn’t sure from the online photos whether the attached balcony was private, but it is. The king bed was comfortable, and I liked having a TV at bedtime, including a few HBO channels. Everything was perfect throughout our stay.

The location is perfect, and the staff are absolutely amazing. But on our first trip to CDMX, we found that Casa jacinta guest house needs to update things guests would value. The shower head was so old that it only trickled, making it hard to rinse off. The bed was hard as a rock and so uncomfortable that we cut our trip short by 2 days. We were in so much pain, and a nice topper would make all the difference. There should also be a sign reminding guests that this is a home and to be mindful of others when coming in late or leaving early. Sleep matters, especially when traveling. Updates are definitely needed.

A colorful, homey guest house with interesting artwork, a lovely garden, and great breakfasts. The service felt heartfelt.

The room had lots of natural light and climate control, with plenty of space, great art covering the walls, and nice furniture. The staff were so friendly, too. They shared a couple of restaurant recommendations as I was leaving. Thanks for hosting us.
