They cancelled our reservation on the very day we were supposed to check in, without telling us anything or giving a reason. That’s unacceptable. This place isn’t reliable, so please don’t trust them when planning your trip.

I booked this place because it was close to where I needed to run errands. I chose a king-size room because on work or class trips I tend to stay in and work in blocks, switching between work and studying. I like having enough room to do that. When I made the booking, the listed check-in and check-out time was 12:00 PM. I was due in Mexico City at 7:30 AM, so I planned to have breakfast and shop nearby instead of going elsewhere. Several days ahead, I requested a 10:00 AM check-in through the booking app, but never got a reply. On arrival day, I had breakfast, did my shopping, and went to the property. At the security booth they didn’t have my arrival details, but the guard contacted someone and let me in. I struggled to get my luggage up to the room and tried calling, but nobody answered. A WhatsApp message finally got a response saying they hadn’t been able to process my payment. I checked my bank account and saw the reason: the three-day, two-night booking had a 10% promotional discount and totaled $1447.00, but they had tried to charge $1600.00. That was a red flag. I was tired and didn’t want to move, so I made the transfer and waited. It was about 11:30 AM, and check-in time was approaching at noon. I expected someone to tell me which room was mine or call with instructions, but heard nothing. I sat outside in the yard, having paid already and still waiting. At 4:00 PM, someone I assumed worked at the hostel came and left the door open. Instructions for finding the keys came by WhatsApp. The entrance had a foyer, dining table, and kitchen area, as shown in the listing. Upstairs, the bedroom door lock was broken and came away in my hand. The bathroom was outside the bedroom. The sheets looked like they might have been used by someone else, the walls were dirty, and the bathroom was dusty. The room advertised as spacious was only a tiny 3-by-3-meter room with a double bed. I stayed because I needed to rest, but I was disappointed with everything. I worried someone might open the bedroom or bathroom while I was using it. On the second day I left feeling relieved, since it had been anything but a happy stay. Fortunately, my paperwork worked out, and I could continue my travel plans from somewhere else. It’s a shame, because the area is well located and they could make much better use of it.

The property itself was okay, but the service felt impersonal and there’s plenty of room for improvement. They charged 21 pesos more than the confirmed amount by adding a credit card fee without explanation. The towels were wet when I arrived. I wasn’t due to check in until 3:00 PM, but they said they’d send access instructions after 4:00 PM, which doesn’t match their service terms.

They cancelled on me right at the door, then emailed to say I had to cancel and kept my deposit. When I asked why, someone was very rude and refused to take responsibility. Shameless scammers. Do not go there. Zero stars.

We only stayed one night. For the second, the guy running the place moved us somewhere else because he’d rented out the whole property. Be careful with Casa Frida, where he sent us, since he does the same thing there. He also runs Y&D Travel, and after seeing how he handles these places, I can imagine he treats a travel agency or tour company the same way. He overcharged me and wouldn’t explain it, then blocked me and tried charging my card again later. He’s irresponsible and gets angry when you complain. The photos might make the property look nice, but the stay wasn’t worth it. Save yourself the trouble.
