Casa Niagara

The man who greeted us on arrival had a very unfriendly attitude, though that wasn't the main issue. Around 1 a.m., we heard the neighbors in the next room showering, and our room immediately started to smell strongly of gas. The water heater is inside the bathroom right next to the shower. There must be some kind of issue with its system or the ventilation ducts, because the gas smell was constant.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. During my four-day stay, my towels weren't changed once, so I had to dry them myself, and we had to buy toilet paper at a store. The shower constantly smelled, and there was never decent hot water pressure. The staff were so insulting to my friends that I was afraid to speak with them. They called my friends crazy and hurled insults at them. The woman who sits on the first floor to the left of the entrance seems to get away with anything, including insulting guests. They were also rude to our friends when they helped carry our luggage upstairs, and when we left our car briefly to unload things near the hotel, they effectively took over the municipal parking lot. This was the worst hotel I've stayed in in Mexico City. If you want a decent place where you're treated like a human being, choose another hotel.

The staff and reception team went above and beyond. The bed was really comfortable, and everything was very clean. It's a comfortable, quiet place to relax, and we were close to Chapultepec, where we wanted to go for a walk.

The location is good, but the place itself is terrible. The lobby was a mess, full of boxes, and the room smelled awful. The curtains and furniture were old. What bothered me most was the glass doors, which give you no privacy. You can look around the edges and see, as well as hear, everything happening in the hallway, including employees shouting about which rooms are ready and having less-than-ideal conversations. I like to sleep in complete darkness, and all the hallway light came through those glass doors, so I couldn't rest. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.
