The neighborhood was friendly, with plenty of places to eat and try local food. The property was convenient and affordable for the area we needed to commute to. We liked the stay overall: clean, comfortable, and well equipped, though not especially quiet. The one bad experience was the restaurant service and its awful attitude. I asked for a disposable spoon, but they said they couldn’t give me one because the restaurant doesn’t operate with the hotel. Oh well!

I’ve stayed at Casa Olea three times in barely a year, and I don’t hesitate when booking the next visit. As someone new to CDMX, I can’t say enough about how at home this place feels. The staff are professional, attentive, genuinely warm, and courteous. The spaces are spotless, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed, with a tasteful modern feel and real attention to safety and care. The location is another big reason. You’re minutes from Centro, Centro Histórico, Reforma, Roma, and Condessa, with its own nightlife. It’s easy to walk, or get around cheaply by cab, rideshare, or the several bus lines nearby. You’re right in the middle of things, with modern spots and plenty of local flavour. I feel lucky to have found this gem. It’s a haven.

Good value for the price, very clean, and it has air conditioning. There’s a great coffee shop attached to the hotel and a coffee machine in the room, though you have to pay for the pods, which seemed odd to us. It’s easy to get to eBici, and Uber rides around town are cheap.

The rooms were extremely clean, the mattress comfortable, and the staff friendly and very helpful. It was quiet for sleeping, and there was nothing to complain about. Diego Laguna at the front desk was especially nice and professional. The location is close to lots of places, including performa 222, which is a nice Mal. Highly recommended.

The location is excellent in a safe neighborhood, with a Finca Don Porfilio cafe chain location and the newly opened Finquita grocery store next door. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had some problems, but the bed was comfortable and sound separation was good. The blackout curtain blocked light well and also reduced street noise. Amenities are basic, but fine for the price. The shower has a strong, deluge-style flow and good pressure and temperature control. There are a few real drawbacks. The balcony was filthy when we arrived, though it was cleaned later. The administration was friendly in conversation, but to get things done it was better to ask the cleaning or maintenance staff politely. The room also lacked what American travelers might expect for security and AC: there was no secondary door latch or lock, no room AC control, and the safe didn’t work and wasn’t secured in place. A blue LED on the refrigerator door cast a lot of light into the room at night, so anyone sensitive to light while sleeping should cover it. In big cities, noise and light pollution are hard to avoid, so reusable earplugs and a blackout eye mask may help. Most hotels can’t fully solve those issues, and it isn’t their fault.
