City Express by Marriott Ciudad De México La Raza

It’s a peaceful spot between the Basilica of Our Lady Guadalupe and Mexico City. There aren’t tourist attractions nearby, but that suited us for a quiet night. There’s a pharmacy around the counter and a 24-hour restaurant across the street to the right. My grandmother could borrow a wheelchair at no cost, though they did take a deposit, which was returned when we brought it back. The access system felt very safe. You tap your room key in the elevator to reach your floor. From the third floor you can also go to the second without a second-floor key.

There are lots of food choices downstairs. The rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable.

For the price, it’s hard to beat if you just need an inexpensive place to sleep for a few days in CDMX. This was my second stay, and I’ve been happy both times. It’s quiet and clean, the A/C is good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast tastes good, though it’s the same each morning, and the coffee is excellent. There’s also a Starbucks just across the mall corridor. The room has a hair dryer, but no fridge or microwave. The Metrobus is close, and it’s easy to get an Uber out front.

The Metrobus station right in front makes getting around convenient, and the room was quiet with A/C that ran smoothly. It was good value, though my room wasn’t perfectly clean when I arrived. The windows don’t open. Breakfast had a limited selection, and there weren’t many good places to eat nearby.
