City Express Plus by Marriott Ciudad de México Insurgentes Sur

The people working there were really kind and professional, and I recommend staying at the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, and the server was so nice, especially an older lady who works there. Five stars for all the staff.

The service was great and the location worked well. But that bed was the most uncomfortable one I've ever slept in. I’m already looking forward to my next hotel and a decent night’s sleep. Also, why do hotels skip mini fridges and microwaves?

The location suited me because it was near my workplace, and the staff were kind. Beyond that, I had a terrible stay. The room walls were so thin I could hear people talking next door, and construction noise kept up a steady hammering throughout my visit. The sink and shower pressure was barely more than a light sprinkler. The room smelled damp and strange. Lighting was dim, and the only thing offered for warmth was a thin cotton sheet, the oddest blanket I’ve seen. Breakfast was a joke, basically just some bread. This has to be one of the worst Marriott properties I’ve stayed at. Do yourself a favor and avoid it.

The Italian restaurant on the ground floor was decent, and the staff were skilled and courteous. My room was reasonably clean and serviced daily. I’ve stayed at nearly a dozen Marriott hotels in the US and Europe, but this was my first City Plus. The rooms are fair. The so-called continental breakfast was just two or three fruit choices and coffee that was overheated and tasted that way. Better breakfast would make this place much better.
