Corinto Hotel

The location and service were very good, and the price was right for a room close to the places I visited. But I stayed three nights and four days, and the room needed basic supplies and attention. There was no soap until the third day, no shampoo or conditioner, and the toilet was dirty. There was no TV remote, though I didn’t watch TV. I also didn’t like arriving to find the curtains open, including after housekeeping had been in.

The location is very good, with easy access to transit and stores. The Monument to the Revolution and Reforma are only a 4 or 5-minute drive away. During my stay, they were installing a new elevator, so hopefully that improves the elevator experience. There was a smell in the corridor, the room facilities didn’t meet hotel standards, and toiletries were limited, so bring your own. Parking uses a manual gate that a worker has to open and close, so expect to wait a few minutes. I’d keep expectations low.

The rooftop is very nice, and the location is excellent. You can walk to the old center in 20 minutes and Rome in 15. Beds are refreshed daily, and the bed itself was clean, but the rooms are old and a bit dirty. The floor was covered in dirt, and the bathroom had toothpaste, mold, and hair in the shower. If you’re on a budget and want a pool, this could work. If the pool doesn’t matter, I’d choose somewhere else.

Don’t stay here. We reserved three rooms with double beds but were given one room with a full-size bed for three people. The halls smelled like weed, there was a lot of noise, and we found bugs in the closet. I don’t understand the four-star rating. If I could get my money back and move to another hotel, I’d do it without a second thought.
