I wouldn't wish this hostel on anyone. The people running it are liars. They advertise small private rooms, but they're bunk beds. The mattresses are damaged, with metal springs that scrape into your legs and wake you with sharp pain. My room's bulb had been out for weeks. They promised every day to replace it, but of course it never happened. Worst of all, the hostel locks up between midnight and 5 in the morning. I planned to return at 5 am after being out all night, but staff only let me in after I'd waited 40 minutes in one of the least secure parts of Mexico city. I called 17 times, screamed at the door, and banged on it like a madman. They didn't say a word. This place should be shut down. They have no respect for their guests, and it feels literally unsafe. Don't stay here.

The luxurious-looking exterior made me expect more, but our room was small and dated, and plumbing problems took away from the stay. It wasn't worth the price.
