Big rooms, close to transportation, and the place was clean, though old. There’s no AC, so you depend on the weather outside. The windows seem designed to stay slightly open, and the room key is bulky. Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. It costs more than nearby hotels, and there are mirrors at both ends of the bed. The neighborhood isn’t kid friendly, but felt safe for adults.

I enjoyed very little about this stay. The hotel was clean and the staff in general were friendly and efficient, but the beds, while clean, were stiff and uncomfortable. The rooms felt drafty, the bathrooms constantly smelled of sewage, and every day they provided bottled water. Some friends had lights that wouldn’t turn on and TVs that didn’t work. At the front desk, complaints went nowhere. The staff there seemed unapologetic, unsympathetic and exasperated about dealing with foreigners, even though three of us spoke perfect Spanish. At night, street noise made sleep difficult, and from 7 AM the ambulance crew seemed to use the street as a meeting point, with truck sounds, shouting and general noise. The free Wi-Fi was slow and rarely worked, and the cable service for working TVs had all of ten channels. The location is close to downtown, but the hotel sits at the edge of a very bad neighborhood. At night it turns into a red light district, with prostitutes everywhere, and after 8PM it felt dangerous because of the many aggressive drunks and homeless people. I was approached and chased on four occasions by people from either group. There was a lot of litter and trash around, too. Coming back each night after exploring the city made me uneasy. This feels more geared to the local crowd and people visiting the red light district than tourists or families. I absolutely would not recommend it for families. If you’re vacationing in Mexico City, spend extra to stay elsewhere. It’ll be worth it.

The beds were a little stiff and there was no hot water, but it was nice and quiet. The area felt a bit sketchy, though the price was really good for a place so close to lots of things.

We stayed over the holiday season for NYE, and it was pretty good. Housekeeping cleaned our room every day, and we got a free bottle of water daily. Just to be clear, this IS a sex hotel, but I never heard anything. There were other foreigners staying there too, so I guess they didn’t have room for people wanting a quickie, lol. The only issue was Wi-Fi. It worked well most of the time, but with everyone on it, there were stretches when it was slower than expected. That might just be Mexico City in general, in my opinion. I’d stay here again.

We had a clean, well-kept room with plenty of space, a comfortable queen bed and hot water around the clock. The staff were friendly and efficient. Alameda and Reforma are nearby, and Hidalgo metro station is a five-minute walk away.
