The location is right in the center, with restaurants and nightlife very close by, making it a great base for exploring Mexico City. I was greeted by a lovely gentleman when I arrived. Check-in at the front desk was quick and efficient, and I was directed to the elevator. My room was clean, well appointed, and welcoming.

I arrived at 3:00 AM after a delayed flight and a long wait for my luggage, and the hotel said I had no reservation, even though I booked directly through the app and completed online check-in. After I showed the booking, they said my room had been resold. The front desk claimed my card had failed, but produced a slip from the trash with no card details to show that a transaction had even been attempted. The same card worked at a neighboring hotel that night and had worked for my last five stays at Accor properties. Staff were dismissive and left me to find somewhere else in a foreign country in the middle of the night. When I spoke with the supervisor the next morning, she was indifferent. In the update, the hotel still couldn't provide a receipt for the declined transaction. It seems they were overbooked and made up the card story. They never offered to cover a night or reinstate my booking, then stopped replying to me and Accor Customer Care because they couldn't prove their account. Beware of this hotel and manager Gabriela.

The location gets five stars: it's right in the middle of the markets, bars, restaurants, and everything else, with local pubs on the street behind staying open late. But the rooms are tiny, in poor shape, and the colors are horrific. The toilet and WC are separated by a thin glass wall, so it feels like you're pooping in your bedroom. The AC and TV are awkwardly placed in a corner, out of alignment with the bed. I added photos and videos that show what the rooms are really like. Staying here spoiled my vacation. Only choose it if you can't find anything else in this budget around here. Try Holiday Inn Express near this location.

The junior suite is fairly nice and large for an ibis hotel in such a central spot. Comfort is basic, but it has a Nespresso machine with two capsules, a big bed, and enough room for a few days. Since it faces the inner part of the building, it was quiet at night. The service, though, has been really disappointing. The room safe was broken and unusable. I reported it and was told it would be fixed or replaced the next day. After I asked again, they said it couldn't be fixed and there was no alternative, but I could lock valuables at reception. My room was on the fourth floor, so I'd have to go downstairs whenever I needed something, like my notebook. Then nobody cleaned the room, even though I put the green card on the door requesting cleaning. At 4 pm someone had changed it to the red do-not-disturb card. The cleaning team was in the next room, so I switched it back to green and left for another hour to let them in. At 4:45 I returned to find the green card still there and the room uncleaned. I asked reception to clean it, and they agreed, but after waiting more than an hour with no action, I went back at 6 pm. They said it hadn't been cleaned because of the red card. I told them I hadn't put it there and had changed it back at 4 pm. I don't know who changed it or entered my room. Since the cleaners had been nearby, I thought they might clean it, or at least investigate. But when I asked reception to check the cameras and see who'd entered, they did nothing. I'm extremely frustrated with Accor, ibis, and this hotel's service.
