Breakfast was really good if you choose the included option. Just before checking out, I realized there's also a gym and terrace upstairs. I wish the listing had mentioned those, the hotel discount for the cafe and aroma shop, and described the advertised garden view more accurately. In my room, it was really just plants against a stone wall. The floor is stylish but hard, so I wished I'd had slippers, and the shower temperature changed randomly. The staff had already asked in person and by message what they could improve, so I could tell Lamartine cares and will work on it. My stay was memorable, and I'd come back and recommend it to anyone I know visiting CDMX. Thank you, Lamartine staff! The room and bed were very comfortable, and I loved the scent. The room's soaps, diffuser, candle, and lotion were all from the Laguna Cyprien brand downstairs, a lovely touch. I bought a small lotion and got a hotel guest discount. The hotel interior and rooms are beautiful too, truly a work of art. I was told Pérez Palacios designed it. I first came for coffee, stayed for the aromas, then returned for the hotel. The building had only opened eight months earlier, and it's set up with three businesses seamlessly connected: the Lamartine Hotel, Gramo Café, and Laguna Cyprien Polanco, which sells fragrances, lotions, soaps, candles, oils, and more. The location is perfect, and as a Korean-American, I was especially lucky to be right near the Korean Cultural Center.
