The restaurant by the windows really made the visit for me. My waitress was attentive and precise, and even gave me a tiny origami cat ring with the check, which was adorable and thoughtful since my hands were dry. The place was beautifully decorated and very orderly. The wifi was awful, though, and the staff seemed well intentioned.

Getting in at 8 in the morning was a great help, and the terrace is lovely, with good food choices and music. The location and service were good too. The basics need work: wifi kept dropping every five seconds, there were no free shower towels, and my locker was broken. The blankets are too short to cover me, and I'm six feet tall, so winter nights were cold. The bunks are also under 50 cm high, as someone else mentioned. I could manage smaller bunks in a budget hostel, but better wifi, towels, and longer blankets would make a big difference.

The location is very central, close to lots of important sights, and I felt safe. I stayed five days and found the place clean, with friendly, professional staff. There’s a rooftop where you can smoke, and several places to eat in the same building. I went with a friend, so the social side didn’t matter much to me, but this didn’t feel like the kind of hostel where you easily make friends. There are common areas, though they’re not really set up for lingering. Maybe that’s just how it is in such a big city. Also, there’s no air conditioning in the rooms. Neither thing bothered me, but they could be an issue for someone else.

It felt like a scam. The photos aren’t of the hostel, and there’s no toilet or kitchen, just a hall inside a bar. The place was filthy, including the showers, and the wifi barely worked. Sleeping there felt like being in a coffin.

Really central, with clean rooms and cheap prices. A+ if you’re traveling solo and don’t mind sharing a room.
