Hotel Park Nilo Reforma

The suite my husband booked felt like a mini apartment, with lots of amenities, and was easily the most luxurious hotel room I've stayed in. We loved it and plan to come back. The hotel is in a prime spot, with plenty of food nearby. The pool was nice and rarely used, though cold. Be aware that the gym overlooks it and guests can see the pool from their rooms, so this might not suit you if you'd feel self-conscious in a swimsuit or lounging there. The shower looked beautiful, but we had to let the water run a LONG time before it warmed up.

I had a great night in a beautiful room, right downtown CDMX off Reforma, with about anything you could want within a five-minute walk. I got lost in the hotel because I speak very little Spanish, but the owner and his daughter came to help me. They were kind and interesting.

For my first visit to Mexico City, this was a great spot. I loved the hotel's unusual decor, and getting around the city was easy, with plenty of restaurants and cafes just steps away. We had the room above the gym, though, and the music never stopped. They were willing to move us, but there wasn't much we could do about it. The other rooms are fine. Staff were very nice, and we enjoyed our stay.

From arrival on, the front desk staff were rude and unhelpful, which made for an unpleasant stay. The room was shockingly dirty, and the floor looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Walking barefoot felt grimy. The worst part was having no hot water. We stayed just one night and couldn't shower because the water was always cold. We asked more than once for someone to fix it, but nobody helped or seemed to care. This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had. If you want to avoid a vacation nightmare, I'd strongly recommend staying somewhere else.
